The Oestricher Lenchen "303" Riesling is vinified from grapes from a particular parcel called Eiserberg. The number "303" refers to the 303° Oechsle at which the grapes were harvested by the Spreitzer family in 1920 - the highest Oechsle level ever recorded until the infamous 2003 heat-wave in Germany.
The "303" Riesling has a medium intensity of candied pear aromas and smoke. Sweet on the palate with high acidity. Medium intensity of pear and minerality. Long length. Very good balance of sugar and acidity. Exciting the elegant pear and smoke aromas.
