Riesling from Baden

Baden's warmer climate make this wine region in Germany's south-west less ideal for Riesling as the wines sometimes lack the acidity, which is needed for a balanced wine. Nevertheless, good Riesling is made here - if only it wasn't so difficult to find in the U.S. Baden is more known for its Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), which can rival those of its immortal neighbor from Burgundy.
