Pale golden color. Developing nose with a medium(+) intensity of candied pear, apricot, red currant, hay, sage and minerality. At first the nose seems a bit restraint, but after about 10 minutes in the glass it gains distinctly in earthiness. So, naturally, I decided to decant this Riesling. The change in intensity was impressive. The initially almost austere, yet very elegant mineral linearity started to oscillate between its fruit and now emerging herbal and earthy notes. The palate is as dry as it can be, with a crisp acidity level and medium alcohol. The palate is less complex and has a distinct mineral character with a faint layer of apricot fruit. Medium(+) length.
