Twenty years ago, Hans-Peter Wöhrwag did the unthinkable: in the heart of the Schwabenland (Swabia) he uprooted the holy Trollinger vines on his best parcels of the Untertürkheimer Herzogenberg (although, not all of them, he kept some Trollinger and still makes fine wines from it) and planted Riesling instead.
