Soils in Schlossgut Diel's vineyards
Pittermännchen: Clay soils have a high content of grey slate, gravel, pebbles and quartzite.
Goldloch: stony primal rock from the Permian period, covered with a thin layer of clay, which contains gravel and small pebbles.
Burgberg: clay with a high content of iron, as well as Taunus quartzite.
