The Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss is a truly family-run business. Everybody helps in both their vineyards in Alsace and in the Rhone valley. Kreydenweiss has been one of the early adopters of biodynamic farming in Alsace, where they own Grand Cru vineyards on hills of Kastelberg and Moenchberg. The Rieslings of Kreydenweiss have accented acidity and a strongly mineral character. Antoine Kreydenweiss sums it up: "We are not interested in fruit flavors." Which does not mean that there are none.

Kastelberg: Soil consists of Steige schist, a terroir that is unique to the Alsace. Some of the vines were planted in 1945. Steep hill, which makes it difficult to work on.

Wiebelsberg: Sandy pink sandstone. Steep vineyard, southeast exposure.

Rebberg: Grey schist, southeast exposure at a stunning 80% slope.
