Another Riesling from Trentino. The Simboli Riesling is all-stainless steel made by the cantina La-Vis, from vines which are between 10-15 years old. The yield was 70 hl/ha.
This Riesling has a pale straw color and a medium intensity of citrus and pear aroma. It is dry on the palate, has high acidity and a medium alcohol level. Medium intensity of grapefruit flavor with nice peppery finish at the end of a medium long length.
Simple, but well-made Riesling with a sharp, slicing character. Definitely a food wine - and at $12 really not a bad one!
