Loosen's "Dr. L." Riesling is a non-estate Riesling, meaning that the grapes have been sourced from other growers in the Mosel valley.
The nose is rather muted, but after a hefty swirl I caught a whiff of peach fruit and stones. So far the Riesling "Dr. L." has been rather polite. It turns out that it is more forward on the palate: off-dry, with an invigorating freshness coming from its crisp acidity it possesses a flavor intensity that is more pronounced than the aroma was. Rich peach fruit and flowers lasting through a medium length. This is a very pleasant Riesling, even showing some elegance through a rich floral note.
