Facing Bourgueil in the north, Chinon is an important red wine appellation for Cabernet Franc in the Touraine region on the south bank of the Loire river. Chinon reds are usually leaner, with a more pronounced bell pepper aroma.

Charles Jouguet's Cuvée Terroir is a light red wine with a distinct peppery character. The color is deep ruby and the nose reveals typical Cabernet Franc characteristics: green bell pepper, black cherry and black pepper. It is very refreshing on the palate, due to its vibrant acidity and grainy tannins. Juicy black cherry flavors and licorice. Medium length. Drink within the next couple of years.

In short:
Good
