My first Riesling from Greece. Antonopoulos Vineyards are located in southern peninsula Peloponnese of Greece and this Riesling is grown at an elevation of 600m. It has a pale lemon color and a medium intensity of pear and herbal aromas (which became richer as the wine warmed up in the glass). Dry on the palate with medium acidity and full body. Alcohol is noticeable, but not out of balance. Pear fruit, slightly candied, on the palate, which has a medium length. The finish gets a bit of spice and bitterness, too.

Solid Riesling and good food wine (chicken, cream dishes). Not overly complex but not bland either, with a nice spice touch at the end.

In short:
Average - Good
