Amtliche Prüfnummer (A.P. Nr.)

German for 'official assessment number'. The individual German state governments assign a unique number for every Qualitätswein (quality wine), i.e. wines of the QbA or Prädikatswein categories.

In order to receive the Amtliche Prüfnummer the wine has to undergo an analytical and sensorical test.
